Connor has disappeared thru the anomaly, and Matt thinks his mission is over - Philip has won - and seemingly, nothing has gone wrong. Matt knows what to do next, and jumps into the anomaly to save Connor, only to find him in a barren wasteland, struggling against the deadly sun's rays, and the intense heat. It is a world we recognize from Matt's flashbacks. Worse still, coming towards them, a group of disgustingly mutated future predators are following them, intent on causing some damage. They're faced with no defence until an EMD shot rings out - Abby has followed them thru the anomaly. But things are even worse at the ARC - even though all the anomalies have closed, some kind of strange atmospheric changes are playing havoc...
